Olivia was born at just 25 weeks, and weighed an incredible 1 pound 13 ounces. From the very first moments of Olivia’s 80 days in the hospital, she benefitted from CMN Hospitals funds. Donations purchased the neonatal isolette that created the perfect temperature and humidity for her delicate little body to grow and develop. Olivia gained weight and grew stronger, but one of the lasting effects of her premature birth is permanently impaired vision. As she continues to meet with specialists in other cities who care for her eyes, her family has also received financial assistance from CMN Hospitals for transportation and travel expenses, as well as a vision monocular to help Olivia’s limited vision. As Olivia progresses in school, CMN Hospitals funds will continue to support her with assistive technology to increase her abilities and opportunities.
